I grew up in Denver, Colorado where sports was always a big part of my life. Whether I was skiing, pitching on the baseball diamond or playing basketball, I have always deeply enjoyed the competition and excitement of sports At 6’7rdquo;, I pursued my first love of basketball into college where I was a scholarship player for Colorado, Northwestern University. After playing at the collegiate level, I continued to follow my dream of playing basketball into the D-League of the NBA where I played for the Denver franchise for several years. After an ACL injury, however, my basketball career was brought to an abrupt end, and I needed a new direction. Fortunately for me, that%rsquo;s when I discovered my current passion for the game of golf.

My golfing career started when I moved to Arizona and competed in long drive competitions as well as in numerous mini-tour events. I fell in love with this great game, and I wanted to learn and increase my knowledge of the golf swing as much as possible. As such, after a few years of playing professionally, I enrolled in the Golf Academy of America in Arizona. While attending the Academy, I was mentored by PGA Class A Professional Ed Ekis as well as numerous past tour players. It was a life changing experience for me, and the Golf Academy is where my future goals and career path were clearly identified. I have an incredible love for teaching the game of golf and seeing others get better. Playing golf professionally still has some draw to me as I love to compete, but being the best golf instructor I can be has become my true focus and passion.

My approach to golf instruction is straight forward and highly effective, I find that my students have the most success when we lay out a specific plan for them and formulate a step by step process to accomplish their goals. My path to becoming a golf instructor, and the fact that I did not start my golf career until later in my life helps me to understand and create a unique connection with my students. Seeing my students accomplish their goals and get better is what I truly enjoy. I just love it!!!

I have been exposed to many levels of golf instruction and other professional sports environments during my time in golf and none of them even begin to compare to the resources, technology and professionalism that exist at RedTail Golf Center. Don't just take my word for it, however, allow me or any one of our Certified Professionals the opportunity to show you our instructional and club fitting amenities, and I guarantee you will be amazed at what we can do to improve your swing and enhance your enjoyment of the game.

When I am not teaching golf, I still enjoy playing recreational basketball as well as playing a competitive round of golf on the course. I don’t think I will ever get rid of my intense level of competitiveness.
