I grew up in Southern New England where I was first exposed to Golf by my Dad when I was only 4 years old. Growing up, I played all kinds of sports including Soccer, Cross Country, Lacrosse, and Swimming, but Golf was always my first love. My Sophomore year in High School I decided to join the Golf team and started off as the 4th spot on my JV team. By my Senior year I was the #1 player on the varsity team and won the ECC All-Star award for being at the top of our conference.
After High School I went to Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach where I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and completed their Professional Golf Management Program and became a Class-A PGA Professional.
Since graduating, I have spent the last four years as a Professional Golf, CrossFit, and Mobility Coach, developing a universal approach to improving the performance of athletes of any age or ability. I've been fortunate to work with high level athletes such as mini-tour golfers, CrossFit Games athletes, and even a 3 time World Champion Power Lifter!
Regardless of the athlete or their discipline, every one benefited from increased Range of Motion. I have developed a system of Mobility techniques that can easily and effectively increase your range of motion over time while also decreasing pain and risk of injury! I call it "Power Stretching"!
When it comes to Golf I firmly believe 3 things...
- I believe that everyone has the ability to play good golf and have fun while doing so.
- I believe that proper fundamentals fix most issues.
- I believe that a good short game will make up for a poor long game.
When it comes to the golf swing, everyone has a different body, and everyone has different ranges of motion. Therefore, everyone will have a slightly different swing. It's my role as an instructor to work with each student to bring out the best they have to offer and make them better than they were yesterday.
The resources, technology, professionalism and knowledge that exist at RedTail Golf Center are second to none, and I take great pride in our facility. When I'm not at the golf course I'm exploring something new with my wife, Carolyn, and our 2 dogs, Ruby, and Rory. I love to travel, hike, eat great food, play music and read.
