Growing up in Pendleton Oregon, sports and the outdoors were and still are two of the most important aspects of a healthy life. Whether it was trap shooting, skiing, going on camping trips, or random day hikes, I have always loved outdoors. My two (2) biggest passions growing up, however, were baseball and golf. After going through a decent stretch with baseball and facing some challenges I set my mind and heart on the game of golf.

My golfing career officially started shortly after I could walk. My family tells me that they cannot remember a day that I did not have a golf club in my hand. I have always had a deep love and passion for golf, and I devoted every spare chance I could to bettering my game and improving my understanding of the golf swing. I took a brief hiatus from golf to attend Oregon State University where I received a scholarship to work with the Football team. In the midst of my college career, however, I took a big risk. I decided that golf was truly my passion, and I wanted to pursue the challenge of becoming a golf professional. I picked up everything I owned from Oregon and moved to Arizona to play on the Gateway Pro Tour. My time on the Gateway Tour was quite an experience, but my focus changed when I was working with one of my instructors in Phoenix. The knowledge and understanding he was able to share with me, and the impact he had on my life changed my heart from wanting to play golf for a living to teaching others. My mentor inspired me in way I did not expect. He changed my life as he showed me it took great courage and dedication to make my career in golf not about the fame and fortune of playing, but rather the reward and personal satisfaction of teaching others to enjoy this great game. Since I began my career as a golf instructor, I have literally traveled the world trying to increase my knowledge of the golf swing, culture and people in order to make myself the absolute best golf instructor I can be.

My teaching philosophy focuses on making certain my students understand their golf swing. I place a significant emphasis on the swing plane as I believe it creates a simple and effective to create a consistent, repeatable golf swing. I believe that no two (2) golfers are the same and trying to make everyone swing using the same approach is not effective. As such, I customize my instructional approach to each student’s strengths making sure we maintain clear goals and objectives as we are moving through our instructional experience. There is nothing I love more than seeing my students thrive and get excited about improving their game!

Having been to many different golf facilities around the world, nobody creates an environment that breathes improvement and success like RedTail. From the minute I stepped in the doors, I knew this facility was unlike any other I had seen. The passion from top to bottom on getting people better at the game of golf is unparalleled, and it is truly an exciting place to work. The resources, technology and professionalism that exist at RedTail Golf Center are second to none. Don't just take me at my word, however, allow me or any one of our Certified Professionals the opportunity to show you our instructional and club fitting amenities here at RedTail Golf Center, and I guarantee you will be amazed at what we can do to improve your swing and enhance your enjoyment of the game.

When I am not teaching golf, I enjoy spending time at my local gym, and playing video games with my Brother and Uncle. You can also find me hitting golf balls and continuously working on my own game.
